Description below

This is Sal, the cowardly night guardsman. He's paranoid, wimpy, clumsy, afraid of anything that moves, nervous, clueless and neurotic but he's adorable so it's ok. He just needs hugs. And probably a different job but I suppose he feels he has something to prove, plus he likes to being useful if he can. He's a pretty compassionate guy, especially towards pokemon. Sal usually only keeps guard, but he happens to live in an area where there really aren't many law enforcing units (seriously, there's like... one Officer Jenny per town. How does THAT work?) so he's often dispatched to random jobs, especially during crisis when he's needed. Because of this he is always on edge and trains to become more... competent.

He hails from Mahogany Town and usually guards the entrance to Route 43. He's pretty much never left this area before... the outside world is scary. But hey, you gotta get out sometime or another, right?

Sal carries a variety of things in his uniform, including his flashlight, pokegear, pokeballs, walkie-talkie, and various granola bars and energy drinks to keep him awake throughout the long night. Because he never sleeps at night he's often tired during the day and tends to nap at random times. He's also extremely unorganized, which is why he makes sure to keep all his pokemon in different types of pokeballs so he doesn't mix them up.

Sal's uniform isn't only useful for carrying things either. Being in uniform gives him confidence and a sense of self identity- both of which he is lacking horribly. Because of this Sal wears his uniform most of the time- even when he's off duty as he obviously will be on the islands.
His pokemons are as follows:

McGruff: Yooterii was given to him as his partner instead of growlith because his boss is from Unova. McGruff enjoys a celebrity status being one of few foreign pokemon in this area, and can be a bit of a showboater off duty. Most of the time he is serious business, though. He needs to be on target to make sure his owner isn't chickening out on his job. He's quick to get his owner back on target with a sharp bark or a bite to the butt when needed. McGruff is usually out of his pokeball and hard at work.

Juiz: One of the first pokemon caught by Sal on Rt 43. She's very compassionate and emotional. She does have a psychic connection with Sal, but it's not strong enough to where she can read his thoughts. Sometimes she can read his emotions though. She tends to worry a lot and concerns herself with protecting Sal and gang whenever she can. Sal can also ride on her back, although the spikes make it somewhat... uncomfortable.

Truffles: Also caught on Rt 43, Truffles nocturnal nature makes her perfect for scouting and helping on the night watch. Unfortunately her insomnia means she never sleeps. EVER. This makes her grumpy- oh so grumpy. She's especially cranky during the daytime hours so watch out. But she's reliable for the most part. Truffles is too small to physically lift Sal when she uses Fly, but she can carry him around with the aid of her psychic powers. Unfortunately she only obtained these recently and has yet to master them and ... let's just say there's a reason Sal has a fear of hights.

Raul: Raul is pretty much a stereotypical lifeguard in pokemon form. He impulsively feels the need to rescue drowning pokemon, people, or wimpy Night Guardsmen who can't swim. When there's no one in distress, he parties. He likes to dance, he likes to flirt, and he LOVES music. In fact, the reason he first found Sal in the first place was because he was attracted to the radio on Sal's PokeGear. (It was Sinnoh Sound lol)

Marge: Sal originally had an Ariados which he used to catch suspects in its spider web, but unfortunately Sal got too afraid of his pokemon's creepy... ness. He ended up trading it to one of his boss's friends for this cuter, less threatening-looking spider. Unfortunately he's mildly afraid of this one too. Marge does her job well, but she's a bit of a nut and has the tendency to fry everything around her with her electric attacks. Marge also tends to trap Sal in her web and freak him out on purpose. She tortures him out of love, I promise.

Steeler: Steeler was confiscated from an abusive owner who didn't feed him. Despite this, he doesn't hold any ill-will against anyone. In fact he's probably the happiest Steelix you'll ever meet. He's pretty much a giant iron puppy. He loves Sal... like, waaay too much and often tries to cuddle with less than desirable results. He also LOVES food. He'll eat anything from cupcakes to limestone and he'll eat LOTS of it. Because of this he's huge, even for a steelix. He's a gentle giant though. Full of love and good intentions. Steeler is the muscle of Sal's team, and he's pretty strong.
